My Ancestor’s full name is Velma Deloris Gray. She was a kind and sweet lady. My Ancestor’s nickname was Red, she got her nickname from her skin color because she was very light-skinned. Velma was born 1/15/1941 - 1/15/2020. Her birthplace was Tallulah LA. So Velma was the oldest of 8 siblings.

Her siblings were fun and grateful. Her siblings are still alive now but they are 60 or younger. My great, great, great, grandma was honest and grateful. My mom would usually spend time with her and when we were in Las Vegas. She was so happy around my mom and sweet. My mom loved Velma a lot with all her heart.

Velma was so funny she made my mom laugh to the floor. Everyone started to laugh and it was chaotic with laughter. Every time we went to visit we would always laugh. My dad even started to laugh hard too. Everyone will laugh at everything Velma would say.

Velma came over her challenge which was raising her kids and grandkids alone and working on her own and taking care of them by herself. Her talent was that she was awesome at cooking and taking care of people and she was very respectful. One thing that I have in common with my Ancestor is that I was sassy like she was and she was a beautiful lady. Velma was a sweet girl and she had a great life and a great personality. Velma passed her life in 2020 she raised my mom and me and a magnificent heart.

She made everyone laugh cause she had a country accent. When I was a baby she held me for the final time and she passed when I was 4 or 5. Velma sounds very awesome and interesting. She made happy so many people. She saw us all grown up now.
