My great grandpa’s name was Glen Frandsen. When he was a kid he loved dogs. He had a dog named Rex. To him it was the most special thing in the world. He loved inner tubing in a junk yard. When he grew up he wanted to serve in the war. So he lied about his age so he could go to war. He got in to the army. School was hard for him but he got through school. When he was shipped out to war, he and his friends were separated into two boats he got on to one boat. But at the last second he got switched to the other boat the first boat got bombed. All his friends were on that boat he was so sad because he felt guilty that he lived and they died. That's why he never mentioned the war, because he was devastated.
A couple of years after I was born he died. He was born on October 28th, 1931 and he died on September 2, 2016. My grandma died three years later, and then we moved into their house. The town he was born in is Kimball. He was the 6th child out of 11, his brothers and sisters names are Marggy, Louise, Loomis, Clyde, Lynn, Dean, Herman, Valen, Roland, Dennis, and Darlene. He married Glenda Fern Carter on November 29, 1952 in Elko, Nevada. He worked for a power company he was a electrician. He owned a pizza place called Pizza In. He also was a mail man and plumber. All of their pets names were George. When he was a mail man, the kids would tie a rope on the dogs collar and to a sled and ride around the neighborhood. He built a three story tree house in a willow tree in the back yard.
